Proudly based in Downey, CA, Beyond Steel Inc. is a boutique veteran owned steel distribution company that serves the Southern California region.
Founded in 2009, Beyond Steel earned recognition and praise for steel and metal product distribution, offering high quality, durable beams, flat bars, molding cap rails, sawing, purlins, and many more metal products.
In addition to being a local structural distributor, we provide same day delivery and offer after-hours pickup times upon request from our customers.

We are so excited to be expanding to a 30,000 sq. ft. facility to achieve our vision of growing and diversifying our team, increasing inventory, and continuing to deliver high volumes of products and services to our 180 business customers while developing strategic initiatives to acquire and grow their client base.

Meet Founder and CEO Fred Medrano
Fred Medrano is the founder and CEO of Beyond Steel Inc. He proudly served for seven years in the United States Army in both foreign and domestic tours of duty. He was deployed to Iraq following the attacks on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.
Upon his return and completion from his tour of duty, and later transitioning from the military, he enrolled at Cerritos College and pursued a degree in economics while working as a steel broker between large, midsize, and boutique scale steel companies. His experience in the steel and metal industry inspired him to conceptualize and launch Beyond Steel Inc., shifting his vision to become a driving force in an already competitive industry.
As founder and CEO, his goal is to teach and encourage his team members to exemplify identical attributes both personal and professionally and always move with an entrepreneurial spirit. He also believes in giving back to his community, acting as a board member of Veterans Higher Education Corporation, a non-profit with a mission to provide education and career opportunities to veterans across all professions and personal backgrounds.
As a family man, Fred enjoys fitness exercise and plans to go back to school to continue his education.
